Cosmic Rocket 4M

The Cosmic Rocket Kit is a hands on rocket launching science kit that you can use over and over again to learn about physics. Just add vinegar and bicarbonate soda, stand back and watch it blast off!

The rocket is easy to assemble with three fins for stability during flight and a hard plastic nose for impact when it falls back to the ground.

Simply place baking powder in the launch base, fill the rocket with vinegar, assemble the parts and place the rocket on the launching pad. The construction and launch instructions are detailed in the included rocket booklet.

The chemical reaction between the baking powder and vinegar leads to the production of carbon dioxide gas. The carbon dioxide fills the body of the rocket until it is full and under pressure. At this point the carbon dioxide gas begins to escape downwards out the bottom of the rocket creating thrust. This pushes the rocket to fly upwards.

The rocket launch should be performed by people over 14 years of age. The rocket should only be launched outside where there are no objects overhead.

The Cosmic Rocket Kit includes:
